Click on that, then click on Windows, then drill down to wherever you want to store your back-up of md_db.db. Click the three bars in the upper left and now you should be able to see the root folder (it'll be named after whatever phone profile Bluestacks is spoofing mine says "Pixel XL" and "24.97 GB free"). Just click on Downloads for now, then on the three-dot icon. If you only see "Recent" and "Downloads" in that menu, that's OK. Click "Copy to." A menu of locations will pop up. Now click the three-dot icon in the upper right. U/Endelausir pointed out that there's another file manager on Bluestacks: Enter Settings via the gear icon in the upper right, click on Storage, then scroll all the way down and click on Explore.įrom here, you can drill down into Android\data\\files and either long-click on the md_db.db file, or click specifically on the icon of the md_db.db file, in order to select it. Only how do you do that? I had the darnedest time with 3rd-party file manager apps that for some reason could not see the merge dragons folder at all, and with Bluestacks's "Media Manager" which pretends to export and import files but is actually a hot garbage fire of worse than useless. Game data lives in the file Android\data\\files\md_db.db so presumably you just grab that and back it up somewhere in Windows, and grab your latest backup of that file and pop it into the Android\data\\files folder when you need to restore. How do you back up and restore your game data locally?
So let's say Facebook/Cloud is down, or maybe you just don't trust it. I just successfully used this method to bring my game data plus event progress over from one laptop to the other.
